A Home with Untapped Potential
Located in the desirable Meyerland neighborhood of Houston, this home had incredible bones but needed a complete overhaul. Unlike many builders who tear down and start over, P&G Homes focuses on reviving existing homes, maintaining their charm while modernizing them for today's families. This particular property, built in the later mid-century period, was unassuming from the front, but inside, it offered a spacious, functional floor plan ideal for a growing family.
The goal of the remodel was to create a fresh, transitional aesthetic; sophisticated yet inviting, neutral yet full of character. Every selection was carefully considered to appeal to a stylish, design-conscious homeowner who values both beauty and practicality.
Primary Bathroom: From Outdated to Opulent
The original primary bathroom was a time capsule of the past; cedar wall paneling, mirrored vertical blinds, gold plumbing fixtures, and a massive hot tub that dominated the space. While spacious, the layout was inefficient, and the finishes felt dark and dated.
We reimagined this space entirely, stripping it down to the studs and rebuilding it with a layout that maximized luxury and function.

Elegant Material Selections: White marble floors, honed marble countertops, and custom dark gray vanities create a refined palette.
Spacious Walk-In Shower: Featuring a curbless entry, marble tiles, a built-in bench, and polished nickel fixtures for a spa-like feel.
Freestanding Bathtub: A sleek, modern tub replaced the oversized hot tub, creating a serene retreat.
Bespoke Vanity Design: Custom cabinetry includes double sinks, a dedicated makeup vanity, and ample storage.
Layered Lighting: Framed mirrors with stylish wall sconces elevate the ambiance.

Kitchen & Living Areas: A Transformation in Flow & Function
The original home featured a small, dark kitchen that lacked the openness and connection to the living areas that modern families desire. The living room had multiple flooring materials, an awkward fireplace placement, and a disjointed feel. Our redesign focused on creating a cohesive flow throughout the space while incorporating high-end finishes that enhance daily living.

Expanded Kitchen Layout: We removed the kitchen fireplace to allow for a larger footprint, adding a spacious island with seating.
Premium Countertops: A stunning Panda marble island pairs beautifully with honed black granite perimeter countertops.

Elegant Backsplash: Carrera marble subway tiles with a mosaic inset over the cooktop add a touch of timeless sophistication.
High-End Fixtures: A 36” gas cooktop, pot filler, and recessed lighting optimize the kitchen’s functionality.
Seamless Connection to Living Areas: The kitchen now opens to the family room with an extended counter for additional seating, creating the perfect space for entertaining.
